Dawn Wilkinson was born in Montreal and raised in Toronto. She studied directing at the Canadian Film Centre. She has directed TV Series (How To Be Indie, She's The Mayor), short films (Girls Who Say Yes, Instant Dread, Dandelions), and a feature film (Devotion). Dawn started her career as the director's apprentice on Norman Jewison's film, The Hurricane. In 2008, she won Women in Film and Television's DGC Emerging Television Director Award. Wilderness, her latest short dramatic film, premiered this fall at Cinefest Sudbury.
